Weekly Update #83 - WE ARE BACK!
Hello again, my dearly beloved fellas. The hiatus is over, I just finished patching up the game for the "LISA: The Painful" gamejam, and so I can finally return to making Shudderfly. The game for the LISA gamejam that I made "BUCKETS: The Riskful", cannot undergo public release yet until July 4th– so when that day comes. Look forward to it. The game's full story is not done yet, but even so– the build I've made has my playtest time be 9 and a half hours– I had full-cleared the game, and there's also another route… so of course, more playtime will be available.
In the meanwhile, here's a surprise– I'll drop here a new build– it's nothing major. It just now has the most up-to-date assets from what I've worked on since before I started the hiatus.
There's WASD support now I guess– for 60% keyboards, something I had to implement due to my new keyboard's arrow keys being shitty.

In doing the gamejam, I am reminded of the process of making and even finishing a game or a build to some extent… and with the new perspective of starting from scratch with the new game I made there– I am made to realise, I am overthinking things.
I decided that I will be making small updates often, replacing the placeholder eventing and assets with now up to date assets and events– properly showcasing the story from here on out again. I did animations there shortly, and it honestly made me realise that I've been overthinking things. Been too intimidated in making the animations– but there, I did like…. so much in less than a day.
And for other projects… I'll be real with you– I am also itching to start other projects. I'm going to do so for fun. I have 2 projects I want to do… make at least "Chapter 1"s of. For the sake of it. So that my portfolio here can be expanded– and also, just to make more shit.
We're back in action fellas, I will be returning to weekly updates. I love you all, you are all my reason to keep on going.
